Talk Veritas Updates

The crisis within Veritas appeared to deepen this evening as the Veritas Forum Moderator posted the following on the Public Pages of his website:

It was quite a day for the Veritas National Campaign Director and Chief of Staff, David Soutter, yesterday.

Last night saw his name quietly removed from the list of personnel on the Veritas Party website. For the past 5 months, he has been proudly listed there as the Veritas Chief of Staff.

Yesterday the Veritas leadership agreed to the removal of his name from the website, though it is believed that he remains in place as the Veritas National Campaign Director.

His close friend Ashley Merry remains in place as the Veritas Media Relations Officer - see Party website, 'Personnel' page.

There are moves behind the scenes to remove David Soutter from all Veritas positions, but there are also strong indications that these are being stoutly resisted by our David. I have no doubt that the Party of 'no lies, no evasions, no spin and no deceit' will very soon tell us more about just what is going on.

[SNIPPED]

I'm mindful of the 'Talk Veritas' Forum rules on personal abuse, so will refrain from giving further details of Abi Salik's visit, but a fuller account of his colourful encounter with our David can be obtained by sending me a 'pm'.

REMINDER: The 28 days set by Chester County Court on 27 June for our David to settle his £19,000 debt to the Legal Services Commission (formerly the Legal Aid Board) expires on Monday. If that amount is not paid by then, the Legal Services Commission intend to apply for an order for possession and compulsory sale of our David's 'Tranquil House', Milwr, so that they can recover their debt and costs

In the afternoon yesterday, our David had a visit from one of the many people to whom he owes a lot of money - one Abi Salik, owner of the Sher Khan restaurant in Wrexham. After seeing David's car on the driveway and having arranged earlier in the day to meet him, and after having knocked loudly at the door for a full quarter of an hour, he finally banged the door in with his foot, only to find our David in the hallway after all.

"I didn't hear you, I was on the phone", said our David, apparently expecting to be believed.

Apart from all the usual set of excuses for not settling a debt said by Salik to amount to nearly £7,000, Mr Salik heard a new line. "I'm doing lots of work for Robert Kilroy-Silk - you know, 'Kilroy' from the daytime TV show", he said. "That's why I've not been in touch with you".

Showing him documents referring to himself as the Veritas National Campaign Director and Chief of Staff, he added: "I work for Kilroy three days a week in London, I'm always down there".
